Kelly Clarkson left fans laughing after sharing an embarrassing hotel bathroom story during her Las Vegas residency.
While speaking on stage, the singer joked that she wondered if she had caught cyclosporiasis, a foodborne parasite that has recently seen a rise in cases across the United States.
“This is TMI, but I’m going to say it,” Clarkson told the audience. She said she wasn’t sure if she had caught “that thing” linked to contaminated lettuce or other food.
The Grammy winner, 44, recalled rushing back to her hotel room after a recent show and described having a terrible stomach problem.
She joked that she was glad no man was in the room because, after what happened, “he for sure would never make sweet love to this again.”
Clarkson also laughed about one small positive, saying the hotel had heated toilet seats.
She then joked that she would probably stay single until she found “another weird” person who could handle moments like that.
After sharing the story, Clarkson assured fans she was feeling better.
US health officials say nearly 7,000 cases of cyclosporiasis have been reported across the country, with raw produce, including lettuce, being investigated as a possible source.
Clarkson is currently performing her Studio Sessions residency in Las Vegas till August 15. Her latest single, I’d Be Lyin’, was released earlier this month.
