MEMPHIS, Tennessee – O primeiro propriet\u00e1rio da esta\u00e7\u00e3o de r\u00e1dio preto no Tennessee, a primeira mulher a iniciar sua pr\u00f3pria gravadora, e uma lenda do blues estava entre as seis pessoas introduzidas no Memphis Music Hall of Fame <\/span>Quinta \u00e0 noite.<\/p>\n

A nova classe de Inductees foi homenageada em uma cerim\u00f4nia no Centro de Artes C\u00eanicas, que inclu\u00eda convidados especiais John Mellencamp, Martina McBride e Eric Gales.<\/p>\n

    The 2025 Memphis Music Hall of Fame Inductees included Art Gilliam, president & CEO of Memphis’ WLOK Radio for over 45 years who became the first Black radio owner in Tennessee and the entire Southeast, Cordell Jackson, the \u201cRock ‘n’ Roll Granny\u201d who became the country’s first female recording engineer and founder of Moon Records, Robert Johnson, who according to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame became one of if not \u201cthe\u201d greatest blues M\u00fasico de todos os tempos, apesar de apenas gravar 29 m\u00fasicas.<\/p>\n

    Other inductees included Denise LaSalle, the late blues singer, songwriter and producer known as \u201cThe Queen of the Blues,\u201d Wendy Moten, whose first single hit the Top 10, recorded and toured wth other hit makers and finished first runner-up on The Voice, and Johnnie Taylor, \u201cThe Philosopher of Soul\u201d who began his career in gospel with Sam Cooke and The Soul Stirrer before creating million-seller hits at Stax Registros.<\/p>\n

    Martina McBride estava l\u00e1 para homenagear o indutor Wendy Moten, e Mellencamp e Gales homenagearam o indutor Robert Johnson. Mellencamp tamb\u00e9m recebeu o Hall da Fama da M\u00fasica de Memphis, “Legacy Award”.<\/p>\n

    O filho de Cordell Jackson aceitou o pr\u00eamio de sua falecida m\u00e3e.<\/p>\n

    O Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum lan\u00e7ou o Hall da Fama da M\u00fasica de Memphis em 2012 para prestar homenagem adequada \u00e0s centenas de m\u00fasicos lend\u00e1rios que ajudaram a colocar Memphis, Tennessee, no mapa do mundo e, ao faz\u00ea -lo, criaram a m\u00fasica que mudou o planeta.<\/p>\n

    Em 2015, o museu de Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul tamb\u00e9m abriu o Museu do Hall da Fama do Hall da Fama de Memphis.<\/p>\n
