The Kansas City Repertory Theatre<\/a>\u2019s 2026-27 season announced Monday will have a little bit of everything.<\/p>\n

[–><\/p>\n

The five-show schedule will begin in September with the 2017 Broadway hit musical \u201cCome From Away,\u201d which played in 2024 at Starlight Theatre, and will conclude in May with the British farce, \u201cThe Play That Goes Wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

[–><\/p>\n

In between are \u201cJohn Proctor Is the Villain,\u201d a modern, comedic reimagining of \u201cThe Crucible\u201d that ran on Broadway in 2025, and \u201cFannie: The Life and Music of Fannie Lou Hamer,\u201d which draws on civil rights history to tell a true-life story.<\/p>\n

And, of course, the KC Rep season will feature its traditional holiday production of \u201cA Christmas Carol\u201d for the 45th year \u2014 this time without its longtime Scrooge, Gary Johnson<\/a>.<\/p>\n
