Goldie is back with \u201cJungle Daze,\u201d a brand new single out now on London Records. The track features jazz vocalist and longtime collaborator Natalie Williams, who featured on Goldie\u2019s 2017 \u201cI Adore You,\u201d from his album, The Journey Man. Restless as ever, Goldie expertly folds Williams\u2019 voice into a widescreen production that moves between a rush of pristine, time-stretched breaks to a more expansive, cinematic soundscape \u2013 at once recalling the sounds and memories of the 90s whilst also sounding like nothing else before it. \u201cJungle Daze\u201d was premiered earlier today by Nemone on BBC Radio 6 Music, and marks the beginning of a major new chapter for Goldie, with further music and details to follow in the coming months.<\/p>\n

Of the single, Goldie says: \u201cIt\u2019s great with all these young ones getting into the original vibe we made so long ago just wanted to remind them where it comes from\u2026 we lived it and they breathe it. It\u2019s also about looking back and reflecting on the impact of jungle DNB music. We became the Motown of our generation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The official video for \u201cJungle Daze\u201d, directed and created by visual artist Katia Schulz, is also available now. Weaving together rare archive footage with fan-submitted photos, flyers and memorabilia, the film offers a vivid time capsule of the formative years of jungle and drum & bass \u2013 capturing the people, places and energy that shaped one of Britain\u2019s most influential musical movements as it broke across the globe.<\/p>\n

Goldie recently announced Dare To Dream, a special one-off orchestral performance at London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall on November 14 as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Staged across two performances, the bespoke production will see Goldie joined by the Elysian Collective, choir and a host of special guests yet to be announced, with the artist also expected to premiere new, unreleased music from a forthcoming project \u2013 including \u201cJungle Daze.\u201d Blending orchestral composition and improvisation with beats, breaks and his signature reese bass sound, Dare To Dream is set to be a landmark moment in Goldie\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

Widely recognized as a foremost architect of drum and bass, Goldie has spent three decades pushing beyond the boundaries of whatever genre he\u2019s occupied. From the landmark album Timeless in 1995 \u2014 a record that fundamentally altered the landscape of British electronic music \u2014 to ambitious orchestral works including Sine Tempore, his instinct has always been to expand rather than consolidate. Dare To Dream is that impulse given its fullest expression yet.<\/p>\n
