11 Years Later, Ridley Scott’s Best Sci-Fi Movie Since ‘Blade Runner’ Is a Massive Success

Sci-fi fans are preparing for a great year that will begin next month with the release of Project Hail Mary. The deep space epic stars Ryan Gosling, and it’s directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the duo that brought both Spider-Verse movies to the big screen. Project Hail Mary is based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Andy Weir, who has also penned several other legendary sci-fi epics over the years. Gosling’s new space epic will be released in theaters everywhere on March 20, and the film follows a man who is tasked with saving Earth from a dangerous energy-consuming space algae known as Astrophage.
