International supermodel Rachel Hunter, 56, recently gave a fascinating interview on No Filter (with Kate Langbroek), a popular Australian podcast. (In case you forgot, Hunter originally hails from New Zealand herself.) In the interview, Hunter not only takes us back to the beginning of her modeling career and revisits her split from British rockstar Rod Stewart, but we also get to take in her flawless skin and gorgeous natural curls in all their glory. Is it possible her hair just keeps getting better?
Hunter, who kicked off her modeling career in the late ’80s, graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated 1989 Swimsuit issue, and went on to become an international supermodel, shares some sensual details (think warm jasmine) of her early photo shoots for Revlon and CoverGirl. Just imagine—18 years old, stays at The Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles, and arriving on the Revlon set, which included a manmade lagoon!
“It was pretty intoxicating,” Hunter says on the podcast:
Hunter gets personal, too, about life after she chose to leave her marriage. At just 21 years old, Hunter married Stewart, then 45, but ultimately made the decision to leave with their young children, Renee and Liam, who are now 33 and 31. Hunter says she wanted to create a home for their kids, which she did, while continuing to work and making a life for herself. She also says the kids and Stewart maintained a “beautiful” relationship along the way.
Hunter explains, “I left so I take the consequences of this,” making it clear she wasn’t looking for pity then or now.
