One Royal expert suggests that her increased celebrity status could be the root cause of her unpopularity.
This status has allowed her to garner public attention through various ventures like launching her own brand, but it also means she’s lost some of this attention due to an inability to “follow through” with some of her ideas.
In a conversation with The Sun, Royal expert Mr. Vickers questioned: “Who is the real Meghan Markle? Her big problem is that she’s gone down the celebrity route.”
These comments were made following the duchess’s 44th birthday celebration on Monday, where she enjoyed a dinner with family and friends near her Montecito home.
Despite receiving a flood of birthday wishes from fans and celebrity pals, including actress Abigail Spencer, there was no public birthday acknowledgment for Meghan from the Royal Family.
However, it’s speculated that they may have extended their birthday wishes to the duchess privately.
Grant Harrold, a former Royal butler, expressed his belief last week that the royals would indeed send Meghan a message on her birthday.
In an exclusive interview with Heart Bingo, Harrold, who served King Charles during his tenure as the Prince of Wales from 2004 to 2011, stated: “As far as the Royal Family congratulating or wishing a happy birthday, I believe the King and Queen will wish her a happy birthday. I think Catherine as well, but Catherine might do it on behalf of her and William.”
