Just when we thought the wait was becoming unbearable, the movie’s official Instagram account gifted us with a magical new peek at Wicked: For Good, the second and final chapter of the beloved saga that began last year in theaters with Wicked.
On Wednesday, the official Instagram for the movie franchise dropped an official poster and a behind-the-scenes peek, sending the internet into a spellbound frenzy.
The poster features star Cynthia Erivo, 38, in all her green glory as Elphaba, standing defiantly on a rocky peak overlooking the Emerald City. The shadows of winged monkeys pave a path between the green witch and the matching city destined to turn against her. With a powerful pose and her iconic all-green cape flowing in the wind, the poster is captioned with four simple words: “Cynthia Erivo is Elphaba 💚.”
The comment sections on the new post immediately exploded with joyous reactions from fans who have been eagerly awaiting the film’s conclusion.
