Dommett’s departure comes as he celebrates 10 years since he was in the jungle himself, taking part in the ITV show in Australia.
Sharing a carousel of pictures on Instagram, Joel said it was “time to say goodbye” as he wants to spend time at home with his wife Hannah and their two children.
He captioned each picture with part of his goodbye message, jokily referring to his Ant and Dec tattoos on the back of his ankles and saying his departure is “not just because of the restraining order” the presenters of I’m A Celebrity have in place for him.
He said: “It’s time to say goodbye to my time hosting the I’m A Celebrity extra show..
“Not just because of the restraining order.
“It’s been 10 years since I went in there as a campmate…
“And I was super lucky to go back again..
“And again.. And again..
“But this year I’m gonna stay at home with these dudes.
“And the extra one that kinda came with us too.
“It’s been mad seeing my life evolve in Australia from this.. To this..
“I’ve bloomin loved it. G’DAYYYY MATE.”

The pictures on Instagram show moments from his time on the original show and the spin-off as well as time spent with his family.
Over the years, Joel’s co-presenters have included radio host Kemi Rodgers, TV personality and podcast host Sam Thompson, former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, and TV presenter Joe Swash.
Reacting to the news, Thompson said: “Never has there been a better man to learn from.
“I feel incredibly honoured to have been able to share a tiny bit of that period with you 🥹❤️”.
Moffatt said: “Best of the best Joel, you make presenting look easy.

“So grateful to have been in there with you and then again for extra camp.
