Kelly Clarkson is gearing up for her return as the host of The Kelly Clarkson Show season 7.
NBC confirmed in December 2024 that Clarkson’s eponymous talk show would be coming back for the 2025-2026 television season.
“Kelly Clarkson is a national treasure. We couldn’t wait to announce another season of The Kelly Clarkson Show, fresh off the top-rated Christmas in Rockefeller Center in which Kelly hosted,” Tracie Wilson, executive vice president of Syndication Studios and E! News at NBCUniversal, told Deadline in statement at the time. “There’s an appetite in talk for stories that entertain and inspire, and The Kelly Clarkson Show is a shining star that delivers for our stations and connects with viewers across multiple generations in meaningful ways.”
The show has been an NBC success story since its 2019 debut. Deadline reported that the show racked up an average of 2.3 million viewers during its 2024-2025 season, which was an increase from the previous year.
NBCUniversal Chairman Valari Staab praised Clarkson for continuing to “raise the bar in daytime television” in a separate statement to Deadline.
“The show’s consistent viewership, engaging content and high production quality has made it a valuable part of our programming lineup across the NBC-owned stations,” Staab added. “We’re pleased about its continued popularity and success.”

What Has Kelly Clarkson Said About Season 7?
Clarkson subtly addressed the renewal with an Instagram post in June 2025.
“That’s a wrap on Season 6!” the show’s account captioned an Instagram post at the time, looking back at past episodes. “Comment your favorite moments and get ready for more fun in Season 7 coming this fall!”
The return news comes after Clarkson’s brief absence from the show earlier this year. She missed out on a series of tapings due to a personal matter. No further details were revealed at the time.

Clarkson’s talk show is set to return at some point in September 2025. No official release date has been announced just yet.
