Jennifer Lopez wears a platinum blonde curly updo in a new still from the upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman.
In the trailer for the film, Lopez also rocks a long blonde look and a jet black pixie.
“I was waiting my whole life to be able to do a real big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it,” she previously said of her role in the film.
There’s a new still from the upcoming musical Kiss of the Spider Woman—and you’ll probably have to do a double take to realize that it is, in fact, a picture of Jennifer Lopez. In the photo, the actress rocks a glamorous curly updo in a bright platinum blonde shade—and she really does look almost unrecognizable. The photo, published by Collider, sees Lopez dressed in an ivory silk slipdress as she gazes into a man’s eyes.
This isn’t the first glimpse we’ve had of the upcoming film. In a previously released trailer, another curly blonde updo was briefly visible. In another clip, Lopez wore the same platinum blonde hair down in retro waves that were reminiscent of Veronica Lake. In yet another clip, she rocked a dramatic jet black pixie.

Kiss of the Spider Woman, directed by Bill Condon, takes the 1993 stage musical of the same name to the big screen. The story follows Valentín, a political prisoner, who shares a cell with Molina, a man convicted of public indecency. The pair form a bond and are soon whisked off by their own fantastical imaginings inspired by classic Hollywood musicals—many of which feature Jennifer Lopez wearing another new wig.
For Lopez, who stars as Molina, it’s the role she’s been waiting for. “I was waiting my whole life to be able to do a real big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it,” she told Variety. “It was more [than I hoped]. Me and Diego [Luna] were on set and we’re dancing around and we’re singing and looking at each other and it’s like we don’t want to do anything else but musicals. Diego said that! Me too. I don’t want to do anything else.”

Lopez also wears her hair down and blonde in the film
The film premiered at Sundance in January—Lopez wore a spiderweb gown for the occasion, naturally. The film lands in cinemas on October 10.
