Country singer Cole Swindell and his wife, Courtney Little Swindell, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Rainey Gail Swindell, on Thursday.
The couple announced the birth in a joint Instagram post featuring the newborn in a white onesie with beige buttons.
Courtney shared her daughter’s name and birthday in the caption, calling her their “greatest blessing.”
The baby’s first name is a tribute to her father, whose middle name is Rainey.
One photo showed Cole gazing down at his daughter, holding her gently as she looked back at him.
Swindell first shared his joy about his future with Courtney in May 2023, when he told PEOPLE about his proposal.
“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am,” he said then.
“I’m just glad to have somebody to share everything with. She makes me better, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in all parts of my life.”
The pair married in June 2024 during an intimate ceremony in Sonoma County, California.
Days later, they hosted a larger celebration in Nashville with more than 250 friends and family members.
Now, the couple says their lives have changed in the best way.
Their first days with Rainey have been filled with quiet moments, photos, and messages of congratulations from fans and fellow artists.
