Work is beginning on a 30,000-square-foot family entertainment center in Albertville.
The City of Albertville and developer Don Spurlin broke ground today on Alleyway Entertainment near Mathis Mill and Bolinger Street.
The center will have:
- 20 lanes of bowling.
- Axe throwing.
- Bumper cars.
- Laser tag and laser maze.
- Golf simulators.
- A virtual reality arcade.
- 5D theaters, which includes sensory experiences beyond the screen.
- A restaurant.
- Private party rooms.
Mayor Tracy Honea said the project had been in the planning for more than a decade. He thanked Spurlin for “never giving up and keeping this development—not only alive—but bringing it from concept to reality.”
“An entertainment center of this caliber will be an excellent enhancement to our city’s quality of life,” Honea said. “It will be a complement to Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater, Lucas Cinemas, and the area’s other outstanding family entertainment and hospitality options.”
Spurlin thanked Albertville city officials, as well as Economic Development Director Mike Price and partner Bill Kellen.
“We’re excited to see this project finally become a reality after years of planning and collaboration. The citizens of Albertville deserve a safe, family-friendly entertainment center—one with multiple venues that people of all ages can enjoy” Spurlin said.
