‘South Park’ Doesn’t Say A Single Word In Its Hilariously Petty Response To Kristi Noem

“South Park” has pulled a move that could cause Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to utter, “You bastards!”

The long-running animated series, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, has responded to Noem’s complaints about its portrayal of her in last week’s episode, titled “Got a Nut.”

But instead of taking a more traditional route, like releasing a statement, members of the “South Park” social media team opted for a much pettier response.

They used an image of Noem in “Got a Nut,” which shows the MAGA loyalist’s face melting, and made it the profile photo for the show’s social media accounts.

“Got a Nut,” which was the second episode of Season 27, was extremely critical of Noem. It bashed her and President Donald Trump’s cruel and extreme immigration policies while also having a lot of fun reminding viewers of Noem’s dog-killing scandal.

It also featured an ongoing joke in which Noem’s face would randomly melt off her body, prompting a team of stylists to rush in and fix it by giving her Botox.

And it’s the knock to Noem’s vanity — and not the portrayal of her values — that really seemed to miff the former South Dakota governor.

“It never ends. But it’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. It’s always the liberals and extremists [who] do that,” Noem told pundit Glenn Beck on his podcast last Thursday about her depiction in “South Park.”

“If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that,” Noem added. “But clearly, they can’t. They just pick something petty like that.”

“South Park” did, however, skewer how Noem does her job. In the episode, her “South Park” avatar goes as far as raiding a family-friendly “Dora the Explorer” performance and even goes to heaven to detain Latinos to meet Trump’s quota for immigrant arrests.

And though Noem said only “liberals and extremists” attack women for their looks, Trump himself has a long history of belittling women for their appearance, casually calling them “horseface” and “pig.”

The show’s decision to make Noem’s melting face its new profile pic is also a jab at the Republican’s love of social media.

Ever since Noem became homeland security secretary, she has made a point of posting clips of herself spewing racist rhetoric about migrants while dolled up and wearing an on-the-nose costume.

But her melting face on “South Park” social media platforms is the show’s reminder that despite Noem’s efforts to make Trump’s immigration crackdown palatable, more and more Americans are finding the policies straight-up ugly.
