Taylor Swift’s announcement on Tuesday that she will be releasing a new album later this year inspired quite the emotional reaction on social media.
Although no release date was specified, her site said a vinyl version will ship before Oct. 13. She will presumably offer more details when she appears on the podcast Wednesday.
Not surprisingly, the news of new music from Swift swiftly became a hot topic on social media, where people dished on what it all means.
So, yes, people had thoughts. Lots and lots of them.
But some people weren’t exactly thrilled that the singer planned to discuss the album in detail on her boyfriend’s sports-oriented podcast.
