Cristiano Ronaldo is engaged to his girlfriend of eight years, Georgina Rodríguez.
The Argentinian-Spanish model announced the news on Instagram on Monday, sharing a photo of her hand overlapping Ronaldo’s on a bed sheet, showcasing her massive diamond ring. In the caption, she wrote, “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas,” which translates to “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
In the comment section, users congratulated the couple, including kind words from Camila Alves McConaughey, Piers Morgan, and Bebe Rexha.
Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, began dating in 2017 after meeting at the Gucci store where she worked.
Last year, they sparked marriage rumors after Ronaldo referred to Rodriguez as his wife in a Jul. 2024 Instagram video for the health tracker brand WHOOP. “When I’m not training in the club, I like to work with my wife at home,” Ronaldo can be heard saying in the clip.
At the time, his publicist told Page Six: “I cannot confirm nor deny that Cristiano has married Georgina. I simply do not know.”
The couple is also raising a large blended family together. Ronaldo is a father to five children: Cristiano Jr., Eva Maria, Mateo, Alana, and Bella.
He welcomed his oldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., with an unknown woman in 2010. In 2017, he became a father to twins Eva and Mateo via surrogacy. The following month, Rodríguez announced that she was pregnant with their first child together, Alana.
In 2022, they welcomed daughter Bella, though they revealed afterward that Bella’s twin brother passed away during childbirth.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram at the time. “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
