Despite having debuted to excellent reviews last week, the struggling Paramount’s The Naked Gun reboot hasn’t quite broken out like the studio would’ve hoped for it to. The movie stars Liam Neesonand Pamela Anderson in the lead roles, and is a reboot of the wildly popular trilogy of films headlined by Leslie Nielsen. The film trilogy itself was spun off from the television series Police Squad. In other words, The Naked Gun is far from being an original property, but the franchise ties don’t seem to have done much to convince audiences that it deserves to be seen on the big screen.
