Former Bravo reality star Jennifer Welch has faced backlash after launching into an expletive-filled rant on her podcast, suggesting “fat” Trump voters should be banned from eating at Mexican, Chinese and Indian restaurants.
Welch, who starred in Bravo’s Sweet Home Oklahoma, singled out so-called “triple Trumpers” – people who voted for Donald Trump in 2016, 2020 and 2024 – accusing them of hypocrisy for enjoying multicultural cuisine while supporting anti-immigration policies.
Speaking on her I’ve Had It podcast, Welch said, “I’ve had it with white people that triple Trumped. that have the nerve and the audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to a gay hairdresser.
“I don’t think you should be able to enjoy anything but Cracker Barrel.”
The interior designer continued her rant, claiming MAGA voters should be socially shunned and restricted from enjoying anything linked to the communities they criticize.
“White people that triple Trumped should be boycotted, banned from enjoying the best thing that America has to offer, which is multiculturalism,” she fumed.
She added, “If you want to triple Trump, if you want to brow beat DEI, if you want to brow beat gay people, you want to brow beat Black people as you have been doing for hundreds of years…
“Get your fat a– out of the Mexican restaurant. Get your fat a– over at a Cracker Barrel because nobody wants to see your f—— smug a–, teeny weeny pink arm, big gut around.”
“Nobody wants to see that s—, no one.” Welch’s tirade was immediately met with outrage online. Social media users slammed the remarks as “elitist, arrogant and out of touch.”
“It’s always the most intolerant and hateful pretending to love everyone,” one critic wrote.
Others were quick to call her out for hypocrisy. “Yes, listen to this elite rich white woman. What a pompous, arrogant thing to say,” one person said.
Another added, “Uber Karen. I voted for Trump and I’m having a burrito with chorizo and spinach dip for lunch today.”
Another commenter pointed out that not all Trump supporters fit Welch’s stereotype. “I know a lot of Black, Hispanic and Indian people who voted Trump three times as well.”
I’ve Had It, hosted by Jennifer Welch and Angie “Pumps” Sullivan, is known for its outspoken views on politics, pop culture and everyday issues. The podcast often takes a liberal stance, which stands out given that both hosts live in the mostly conservative city of Oklahoma City.
