GRAND ISLAND, Neb — The Nebraska State Fair is set to dazzle visitors with a lineup of free world-class performances during its 2025 run from August 22 through September 1 at Fonner Park. Attendees can enjoy a variety of acts without needing a ticket to a grandstand show.
“This is the kind of entertainment you can stumble upon while exploring the Fair — and it’s often what people talk about long after they leave,” said Karli Schulz, Events & Entertainment Director. “Where else can you watch sea lions splash, dogs soar through the air into a giant ball pit, and a nine-foot walking tree all in the same afternoon?”
Headlining the fairgrounds will be the Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show, featuring rescue dogs performing high-flying tricks, agility stunts, and dock dives into a massive ball pit. These talented canines have previously wowed audiences on “America’s Got Talent” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
The Sea Lion Splash show will offer an educational and entertaining experience with trained sea lions performing amazing tricks while highlighting ocean conservation. Additionally, Oakley the Tree Man, a towering, walking tree, will surprise and delight fairgoers as he roams the grounds.
“All of this is included with your gate admission,” Schulz added. “It’s the perfect way to fill your day between concerts, rides, and all that amazing Fair food.”
Other attractions include the Touchdown Circus Show, Cowboy Circus, HypnoFX, Kevin Horner’s comedy and ventriloquism, Fahrenheit Fire Company’s interactive firetruck, and the Circus Science Spectacular. The Family Fun Zone will feature giant jumping pillows, and ACP Park will host the Foam Zone, offering a bubbly wonderland for cooling off and play.
Since 2010, the Nebraska State Fair has drawn more than 4 million visitors to its home in Grand Island, promising unforgettable family photo moments and entertainment for all ages.
