SOUTH BEND — The musical comedy “It Shoulda Been You” opens April 24 and continues through May 10 at South Bend Civic Theatre, 403 N. Main St.
According to a press release, the story follows a wedding where everything that can go wrong does.
The bride’s mother is described as a force of nature, while the groom’s mother adds her own drama to the mix. When the bride’s ex-boyfriend arrives, the perfect wedding begins to unravel on this day full of surprises.
The production promises big personalities, unexpected twists and a lot of heart, according to the release.
The musical is rated PG for mild innuendo.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 24, 25 and 30 and May 1, 2, 8 and 9, and at 2 p.m. April 26 and May 3 and 10.
Tickets are $35-$27.
A pay-what-you-can preview performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 23.
