We’re starting strong here. California Grill is less of a “grab dinner” situation and more of a full-on experience. You get to dress up a little, ride that exclusive elevator to the top floor, and enjoy a meal with one of the best views on property.
Storm went for the salmon, but honestly, it almost doesn’t matter what you order here because the whole vibe — sunset views, Magic Kingdom fireworks, and upscale service — makes the night. We’ve eaten here multiple times and walked away with barely a critique.
If you can snag a reservation, we say go for it.
Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs
No arguments here either. Morimoto Asia nails the upscale pan-Asian experience — Storm loved the sushi and ribs, and we’ve had great luck with both, too.
The space is gorgeous, and the food rarely disappoints, though it is on the pricey side. This is the kind of place where you settle in and enjoy a long meal, so if you’re on a tight park schedule, maybe opt for the lounge or Morimoto Asia Street Food next door.
For those willing to splurge, this is one of Disney Springs’ most memorable meals.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs
This one’s a forever favorite of ours, and Storm is clearly on the same page. Fried pickles, fried chicken, fried chicken & doughnuts… the portions are huge, and the leftovers are glorious.
It’s not the cheapest table service, but you really get your money’s worth. We’ve loved almost everything on the menu, from the Country Fried Steak to the Kitchen Plate. This is comfort food at its peak, and if you walk out without a box in hand, you did it wrong.
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Storm stayed at the Grand Floridian, so this pick makes perfect sense. At 1900 Park Fare, the strawberry soup is a must-try, the breakfast pizza is a fun twist, and the cinnamon pull-apart bread is worth a trip on its own.
It’s also a great choice for character dining, especially if you’re staying at the Grand Floridian or heading to Magic Kingdom for the day. You might not get repeated character visits at your table, but when they do stop by, the interactions tend to be more personal.
Overall, this is a strong recommendation for anyone who loves a leisurely Disney breakfast.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Storm closed out her list with one of the most immersive dining spots in the parks. Roundup Rodeo BBQ is pure Toy Story magic — bright, playful, and full of hearty barbecue fare. It’s family-style, so you can try a little of everything, and we appreciate the variety.
This is an awesome pick for big appetites and a mid-day park break, though you might need a nap after. If barbecue isn’t your thing or you want something quick, this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re all in for the theme and the food, it’s a blast.

Storm’s list is surprisingly well-rounded — she hit a mix of upscale, casual, in-park, and resort dining. California Grill and Homecomin’ are can’t-miss in our book. Morimoto Asia is fantastic if your budget allows. 1900 Park Fare feels like a perfect fit for her trip and offers something unique for character fans. Roundup Rodeo BBQ might not be everyone’s go-to, but it’s exactly the kind of themed experience that makes Disney dining memorable.
