Following the success of Coldplay’s concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, a wave of global artists have been flocking to the subcontinent. The latest in this lineup are Travis Scott, the award-winning American rapper, who is bringing his Circus Maximus World Tour to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 18 and October 19, and Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course on November 19; and Spanish music icon Enrique Iglesias, who is returning to the country after 13 long years. EDM sensation DJ Snake is also coming to India later this year, with a six-city Sunburn Arena tour, as is Senegalese-American rapper Akon, and Steven Wilson, the founder, guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter of Porcupine Tree.
2025 has already witnessed a spate of powerful international acts. In May, Guns ‘N Roses, the legendary American hard rock band comprising original members Axl Rose (vocalist), Slash (lead guitarist), and Duff McKagan (bassist), along with Dizzy Reed (keyboardist), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitarist), Frank Ferrer (drummer) and Melissa Reese (keyboardist), gave melophiles in India a night to remember. A month before, Nas, one of the biggest names from East Coast hip-hop, headlined The World Reunion hip-hop festival in Mumbai on April 19. In January, Green Day, Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran played to (over)packed grounds.
Here’s a roundup of the biggest international acts that are taking place in the country through the rest of the year.
