Hey, Upper East Siders, Chuck Bass is back!
On Friday, May 16, Ed Westwick posted an ad on social media for Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes lip gloss, in which he reprised his iconic role as Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. Westwick famously portrayed the Upper East Side antihero in the 2000s teen drama.
The 37-year-old famed actor went full-on Bass for the ad, trading his British accent for an American one, slicking back his hair, and donning a suit with a purple tie and printed handkerchief.
The video opens with Westwick standing in an elevator, telling the camera, “Indulge me. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane.”
Walking down a hallway, he continues, “To a time of debauchery. Let’s face it — the Upper East Side was built on three things: scandals, secrets, and this,” he says, pulling out a Juicy Tubes lip gloss.
“One whiff of this, and I’m transported to 2007 — a vintage year, truly electric. Every kiss, a wager, a thrill. The taste and the aroma. A fast track back to a certain limo. A time machine to… I’m Chuck Bass,” he declares, referencing his most famous line.
The Chalet Girl actor ends the ad with a poignant question: “Most iconic accessory of the 2000s — the scarf or Juicy Tubes?”
Fans couldn’t get enough of the nostalgia, as they expressed in the comment section on TikTok how excited they were to see the former teen heartthrob in action again.
“A CHUCK BASS AD IN 2025 IM SCREAMING!” one person wrote.
“Welcome back Mr.Bass.. we missed you 😉,” a second fan penned.
“The limo line gave me goosebumps 😩,” somebody else commented.
Another individual wrote, “ICONIC. Welcome back, Mr. Chuck ❤️.”

Westwick recently became a father as he and his wife, Amy Jackson, announced the birth of their son in March.
The couple posted an Instagram carousel with black and white pictures of them and their new bundle of joy.
“Welcome to the world, baby boy. Oscar Alexander Westwick 🤍,” they captioned their joint post.
The husband and wife duo tied the knot in August 2024 on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
