At 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, Taylor Swift officially announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. And it looks like Jason Kelce was one of the first people to get a look at the album cover.
Before announcing her new album, the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, announced that Taylor would be appearing on Wednesday evening’s edition of the podcast.
“Taylor’s about to do a [freaking] podcast! NEW EPISODE WEDS 7PM ET,” the official New Heights account shared in an X post on Monday night.
The post included a teaser video showing Taylor and Travis interacting on the podcast.
“Such a nice color on you,” Taylor told Travis in the video, complimenting the blue color of his sweatshirt.
“Yes, I know,” Travis responded. “It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.”
With that, Taylor had a seven-word message for Kelce.
“We’re about to do a [freaking] podcast,” she said to end the teaser clip, with one of the words censored.
Just a few hours after Swift was confirmed as a guest on the podcast, she announced her new album, allowing fans to pre-order it on her website. While she revealed the name of the album, she did not reveal the album cover – at least to us.
Jason Kelce, however, did get a sneak peek.
After Taylor officially announced her new album early Tuesday morning, the New Heights podcast shared another clip where Taylor showed her album cover to Jason. However, the album cover was blurred in the video.
“So, I wanted to show you something,” Taylor said in the video shared by the New Heights social media account.
“Okay, what do we got?” Jason responded. “A briefcase? Mint green with ‘TS’ on it.”
“This is my brand new album,” Taylor said, holding up what appears to be a vinyl album cover that was blurred for the camera. “The Life of A Showgirl.“
“TS12!” Travis Kelce exclaimed.
Taylor did not immediately share a release date for the album, but it’s coming soon.
