Kansas City Chiefs star TE Travis Kelce has been all over the news for a while now, but his popularity reached new heights – no pun intended — in the summer of 2023. That’s when he became a global celebrity because of his relationship with Taylor Swift.
Fast forward to today, and the two are still going strong, up to the point where he had them as a guest in his ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother Jason. Moreover, that’s also why she didn’t hesitate to share some massive news with them.

“So, I wanted to show you something,” Taylor said. “This is my brand new album: The Life of a Showgirl.”
The full show will air on Wednesday, and while it’s highly unlikely that she’ll share a preview of any of the songs, it will most definitely give the fans some major snippets of her relationship with Kelce and her career.
Travis Kelce says he’s Taylor Swift’s ‘plus one’
Kelce is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer and one of the greatest tight ends of all time. However, outside of the football field, he’s glad to be Swift’s plus-one:
“I get to be the plus one,” Kelce told GQ. “I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan. I’m a fan of music. I’m a fan of art. And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.”
Kelce even made an appearance on stage in one of her shows during The Eras Tour, but other than that, he’s gladly taken a step back to let her be the star of the show.

Likewise, Swift has become a familiar face in Chiefs games, but it seems like she’s becoming much more than just a spectator; she’s become a football savant as well:
“I sort of made her a football fan. She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short—all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job,” Kelce revealed.
Some fans have questioned Kelce’s commitment to the game since he started dating Taylor Swift, given that his numbers haven’t been as impressive as in the past. Then again, we’re talking about a veteran about to enter his 12th season, and it’s not like he hasn’t done more than enough in his career already.
Kelce and the Chiefs will look to bounce back after a heartbreaking Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and with him turning 35 years old already, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him walk away from the game after this season.
As sad as that may be for the fans, he’s more than earned the right to ride into the sunset on his own terms.
