It is just over a month until television’s most sparkly spectacle makes its much-anticipated return. Strictly Come Dancing is back for its 23rd series, bringing with it all the glitz, glamour, and high-stakes competition fans have come to love.
So far, 12 of the usual 15 celebrity contestants have been announced, with more names expected in the coming days. From soap stars to sporting legends, this year’s line-up promises a fresh mix of talent ready to take on the ballroom and compete for that coveted Glitterball Trophy.
With familiar faces returning, exciting new additions to the professional line-up, and the promise of unforgettable performances, the countdown to Strictly 2025 is officially on. Here is everything we know so far…
Who are the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 celebrities?
The celebrity contestants are still in the process of being announced and will be added as they are named pubic. So far, the stars confirmed to be taking part in Strictly 2025, are:

Who are the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 professionals?
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up boasts a mix of familiar fan favourites and fresh talent. Returning to the dancefloor are Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola.
In a heartwarming return, Welsh dancer Amy Dowden is also set to make a full comeback. After bravely battling breast cancer and making a brief return last year, Amy was sadly forced to step away mid-season due to a foot injury. Fans will no doubt be thrilled to see her back in full form for 2025.
Notably missing is Gorka Marquez, who announced that he will not be appearing on the show after accepting a judging position on the Spanish version.

Who are the new Strictly Come Dancing 2025 professionals?
Adding some new flair to the pro team this season are two brand new faces: Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon.
American-born Alexis made history in 2022 when she became the first female Ballroom and Latin dancer to win the US series So You Think You Can Dance, earning the title of ‘America’s Favourite Dancer’. She has since performed on Dancing With The Stars as both a troupe member and guest pro, touring with the show across the US and joining judge Derek Hough on multiple national tours, including his Las Vegas residency. Her impressive résumé also includes appearances on America’s Got Talent and World of Dance.
Joining her is Australian Julian Caillon, a seasoned Ballroom and Latin specialist who began dancing at just 10 years old. Julian represented Australia on the international stage and appeared as a professional on three seasons of Dancing With The Stars Australia. He has toured globally with the acclaimed dance show Burn The Floor and competed on So You Think You Can Dance in Australia. Off the dancefloor, Julian holds a degree in Exercise Physiology from UNSW Sydney and balances his performing career with work as a Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist. A dedicated athlete, he has already completed two triathlons this year alone.
Who are the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 presenters and judges?
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman return to host the new series, fresh from receiving MBEs in recognition of their contributions to broadcasting. Joining them are the returning judges: Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Head Judge Shirley Ballas.
