San Francisco is gearing up to welcome music fans from around the globe this weekend for an A-list lineup of performances at the 2025 Outside Lands Music Festival.

What is Outside Lands?

The three-day event, which is the largest independently owned and operated music festival in the U.S., plays host to a diverse range of world-class music, featuring 140 multi-genre artists across eight different stages.
“I’m incredibly proud to be kicking off our 17th annual Outside Lands weekend,” Allen Scott, the president of concerts and festivals at Another Planet Entertainment, told “Good Morning America,” on Thursday. He added this event is their “love letter to the Bay Area and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet.”
Beyond the music, Scott also pointed out the festival’s “second to none” food and beverage program with over 100 restaurants, 28 wineries, and 25 breweries local to the Bay Area.
The festivities boast a massive tourism boom for the City by the Bay. San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie previously told ABC News San Francisco station KGO that Golden Gate park transforms into “the music capital of the world” with thousands coming to experience live performances each weekend this month that kicked off with a 60th anniversary Dead and Company show last weekend.

Outside Lands 2025 kicks off Friday, Aug. 8, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 10.

Festival gates open at 11 a.m. with music starting at noon and ending at 10 p.m.

Where is Outside Lands?
The experience is set within San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Park, between the Richmond and Sunset districts on the West Side of the city.

In addition to the stages festivalgoers know and love, there’s a new Duboce Triangle stage, described in a press release as “a space where fans can check out more than a dozen artists in an intimate environment including Mayer Hawthorne, Kate Bollinger, INJI, BAALTI, and more in the shade of the eucalyptus trees, [and] grab a sip at Wine Lands next door and take in the view while enjoying some incredible live performances.”
Who is performing at Outside Lands?
This year’s festival boasts an unforgettable lineup of performances with headliners Tyler, The Creator, Hozier and Doja Cat.
Other notable top-billed talent includes John Summit, Anderson .Paak, Vampire Weekend, Glass Animals, Gracie Abrams, Jamie XX, Doechii, Gesaffelstein and Beck, who will be backed by a full orchestra.
