Chris Pratt Knocks RFK Jr. Critics As ‘Allergic’ To Progress

Chris Pratt thinks some people would rather fumble progress than see President Donald Trump and his administration succeed.

He didn’t waste time taking a dig at Kennedy’s and Trump’s critics, however, telling Maher, “I’d hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I’d be having an allergic reaction to.”

As Pratt urged everyone to “be reasonable,” he mocked his ideological opposites with an imaginary example exaggerating their supposed stubbornness.

“To be like, ‘Oh, well, if they do it, I don’t want it to happen. I’ll put Clorox in my children’s cereal myself!’” he said in a silly voice. “Be reasonable here. There’s certain things that would be a good thing to have. I want them all to be successful.”

Elsewhere during the interview, the devoutly Christian “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor compared the “nasty business” of politics to Hollywood.

“There’s a certain level of this in Hollywood because … I’ve seen how the person you are can be such a contrast to the person that people being are told that you are, and you can go, ‘Wow, that is pure fiction,’” he said.

Pratt told Maher he prefers to stay out of the drama instead of giving it any extra attention, however.

“I’m not there to defend myself, nor am I gonna jump in and be mired in this story,” he said, adding, “So somebody tweeted something, it’s not real, and 300,000 people liked it. Am I going to shine this light of 50, 70 million people onto this?”
