Lavendine Talk Strength and Healing in New Single “Who Cares If I’m Alone” – InMusic

Sister-duo Lavendine continues the lead-up to their upcoming EP with a brand-new single, “Who Cares If I’m Alone.” Known for blending rock, pop, and ethereal emotion, Jana and Jacy of Lavendine have built a reputation for writing music that speaks directly to the heart. Their latest release is no exception. Anchored in strength and honesty, the track carries a message of resilience—choosing self-worth over toxic relationships, even when it means walking alone.

Following the success of “Diamonds in the Sky,” which showcased their moody yet uplifting sound, “Who Cares If I’m Alone” pushes their artistry further with a rawer, more defiant edge. The single leans into the rock-driven vision they’ve been carving out for their upcoming EP, Deep Blue.

For Lavendine, music has always been about more than just melody—it’s a means to find healing, faith, and empowerment. The sisters describe their new single as both “gutsier and warlike,” a battle cry for anyone who feels abandoned, mistreated, or stuck in a place they don’t belong.

In this exclusive interview with InMusic, Lavendine open up about the meaning behind “Who Cares If I’m Alone,” the inspiration fueling their upcoming project, and how their music continues to evolve into a force that uplifts while confronting life’s hardest truths.

Can you tell us about your new single, “Who Cares If I’m Alone”?

This song was written from the perspective of being in something that’s not good for you—and choosing not to let it hold you back from your dreams and goals, even if that means facing loneliness. In fact, we’ve both found ourselves having to stand alone many times on our journey to find love and purpose. We survived it!

What inspired the song, and what does it mean to you?

The desire to reach our destiny on our own—and to be a clarion call to anyone who feels weak, tired, abused, or lonely—is the inspiration behind this song. It carries a powerful message: encourage yourself through the pain, and declare, “I’m not staying here—I’m moving toward the best I haven’t seen yet.” Whenever we sit down to write a song, our mindset is always, something that brings hope.”

Is there a particular lyric in “Who Cares If I’m Alone” that holds special significance for you?

(Jana): “I’ve gotta find my way, a place that’s all my own.”

(Jacy): “I’m better on my own.” That’s the line I sing—the echo in the bridge.

What makes it stand out?

(Jana): So many people fear being alone. We believe that if you can overcome that, you can overcome almost anything.

(Jacy): I’ve lived by that motto for years—especially in moments when I’ve been mistreated.

How does this new track differ from your previous release, “Diamonds in the Sky”?

It’s gutsier and warlike. It’s overcoming and prevailing that you hear in the spirit of it. It’s a champion mindset while walking through the fire.

How does “Who Cares If I’m Alone” fit into the broader creative vision of your upcoming EP , Deep Blue?

Our plan was always to lean more into a rock sound—and we finally executed that vision. We believe it brings the weight and seriousness needed to support the overarching message behind our music. It’s about meeting people right where they are—in the heart of their struggles—and saying, “Come with us.” It’s about offering hope and reminding them that things will get better, even great, if they keep moving toward their destined place. We hope this song pulls people out of abusive, toxic, sad, or stagnant places in their lives. We hope it gives them the strength to keep going, and the faith to trust that God has brighter days and the right relationships ahead—if they just keep moving and refuse to stay down. We plan to keep writing and creating more music with this heavier, more serious sound.
