Rock Entertainment Group announced June 30th that he company, which also owns the Cleveland Cavs, has won the WNBA’s 16th franchise.
The Rock Entertainment Group and Cleveland WNBA team have chosen the first president for the unnamed franchise.
Allison Howard, currently executive vice president and chief commercial officer for REG and the Cleveland Cavaliers, will lead business operations for the team beginning play in 2028.
Howard oversees corporate and ticket sales revenue and strategy, corporate partnership, membership sales and service, venue experience, ticket operations and youth sports programming, according to a news release.
“It has been energizing to feel the passion of Cleveland WNBA fans across Ohio and to see how quickly our community has already embraced our team,” said Howard, Cleveland WNBA president of business operations. “We’re committed to making this team a source of pride for our city and broader region, to inspire future athletes and to create an environment where everyone belongs and feels welcome. Howard will direct all of the WNBA’s team business operations.
