This New Music Friday is nothing short of explosive! Doja Cat enters her pop era with the fresh new single “Jealous Type.” Produced by Jack Antonoff, the song serves as the lead single from Vie, out September 26, preluding what might be one of the biggest albums of 2025. “Jealous Type” exudes ‘80s pop energy in every beat, with Doja seamlessly embracing this new chapter.
Ava Max returns with her highly anticipated third studio album, Don’t Click Play, released via Atlantic Records. While the rollout has been a bit turbulent, the LP remains highly anticipated by fans, with singles “Loving Myself” and “Wet Hot American Dream” paving the way for the record.
A new album also arrives from Mariah The Scientist. The R&B powerhouse unleashes her most ambitious full-length project yet, Hearts Sold Separately. Departing from her previous album, To Be Eaten Alive, which leaned heavily on collaborations, this time Mariah takes the reins entirely, showcasing her undeniable talent. Two acclaimed tracks were released as singles: “Burning Flame” and “Is It a Crime” featuring Kali Uchis — the latter already being hailed as one of the best collaborations of 2025 so far.
