Two days ahead of the Aug. 22 release of her latest album, Escape Room, Teyana Taylor welcomed friends, peers and music lovers to Republic Studios in New York City to celebrate the new body of work.
Taylor was escorted through the electric crowd by her current beau, actor Aaron Pierre, who supported the songstress all night with gentle touches and a listening ear. The “Long Time” singer, of course, was also sure to mix and mingle with her guests, which included Ciara, Ebro Darden, fellow Harlemites A$AP Ferg and Dave East, and more.
Escape Room marks Taylor’s fourth studio release and follows a five-year recording hiatus. The 22-track album is also accompanied by a short film, to stream exclusively on Amazon Music via Twitch at 8pm PT on release day. The emotional record features narration from stars including Taraji P. Henson, Sarah Paulson, La La Anthony, Niecy Nash and Kerry Washington.
