Jillian Michaels Shares Proof Refuting ‘Biggest Loser’ Documentary Claims originally appeared on Parade.

Jillian Michaels is sharing receipts following the release of the bombshell “Biggest Loser” documentary on Netflix.

The famed trainer, who was a major star on the NBC show, but did not participate in the recent documentary ‘Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser,’ took to Instagram on Tuesday to refute allegations made by fellow trainer Bob Harper and the show’s physician, Dr. Robert Huizenga, regarding the controversial use of caffeine pills on the show.

In screenshots of an email dating back to 2009, Michaels showed that Huizenga’s team asked about which pills to give to the contestants — a topic that both the doctor and Harper claimed to have no knowledge of in the documentary.

“Dr. Huizenga did approve caffeine pills on many seasons of ‘Biggest Loser,’ she wrote in screenshots’ caption, and also claimed that Harper actually suggested the use of caffeine pills or fat burners.

On the show at the time, Michaels’ team of contestants were penalized for taking caffeine pills under her direction without Huizenga’s permission however in her Instagram post the trainer noted that caffeine was never banned despite the physician’s claim in the documentary.

Shortly after the dismayed trainer shared the screenshots, TMZ exclusively reported that Michaels is ready to take legal action against Netflix. She also shared a second batch of screenshots showing text exchanges with producers verifying her claim that she never said, “You’re going to make me a millionaire” to a contestant.

The trainer also addressed Harper’s claim about how she never contacted him following his 2017 heart attack.

“After I had my heart attack, she’s the one person I never heard from,” he recalled in the documentary. “That, to me, spoke volumes.”

However, Michaels shared a screenshot of a text she sent him in 2014 which read, “I think its really sh—y of you not even to respond to my texts. It’s this kind of thing that always makes me so disappointed in my [sic] our relationship.”

“Take from it what you will,” she wrote of the text in her Instagram caption.

“The Biggest Loser” aired from 2004 to 2016 and returned briefly in 2020 with a more mindful, wellness-inspired spin with Harper at the helm.

‘Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser’ is streaming now on Netflix.
