Rush, N.Y. — Visitors to the New York Museum of Transportation on Sunday can enjoy barrel organ music performed by various “organ grinders.”
The event will revive the charm of vintage wind instruments, showcasing the nostalgic sounds from over a century ago.
Historically, organ grinders were traveling performers who often had a pet monkey and played music in public.
The museum will allow visitors to listen, watch, and even try playing the instruments.
Trolley rides and the organ grinder gathering are included with admission.
The event runs through 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
