Dean Cain’s attempt to navigate an ICE obstacle course has become a viral sensation, with the former Superman star caught on camera having difficulty completing it.
The 59-year-old took part in the course at an ICE training facility in Brunswick, Georgia, with Cain’s performance being recorded for Fox News. In the footage, he moved sluggishly through the course and got briefly trapped while attempting to scale a wall.
Despite the uncomfortable situation, the video was posted by ICE’s official X account with the message, “TV’s former “man of steel” Dean Cain runs through the obstacle course during training to become an ICE officer at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Georgia.”
The federal law enforcement organization faced mockery from critics over the footage.
“Is this for real? Has this account been hacked by SNL? LMAO,” one viewer questioned after watching the clip. “It’s not too late to delete this…” another pleaded.
A third person asked, “Was the video slowed down?” Someone else criticized, “This is a joke a total embarrassment,” as another viewer commented, “It’s kinda like watching a dog agility show but with a senior dog near death that attempts the course to the sympathetic applause from the audience.”
“This is hilarious…I didn’t see any running,” one viewer responded, referencing ICE claiming Cain raced through the course.
Not everyone ridiculed the video.
“Good work. Appears he’s 59. Not too bad. Best of luck to him, and thanks for taking on the job,” one person praised. Another commented, “Superman @RealDeanCain putting in work! thank you for your service, sir!”

Cain faced mockery when he first revealed he was joining ICE. Actor John Leguizamo branded him a “loser,” while late-night host John Oliver raged, “If all you can get is Dean Cain, you are f—-d.”
The actor tackled the criticism during his Fox News appearance this week. Host Alexis McAdams questioned, “Why did you want to get involved with ICE? I know there was a little bit of backlash, right? Not everybody thought it was the best idea for Superman.”
“Ya think?” Cain shot back, before championing those who join ICE by describing them as “phenomenal people.”
He also stood his ground against earlier criticism this week, stating, “I get John Oliver, or Bill Maher, or whomever making fun of me. That’s great. Go ahead.
“It’s an easy joke and that’s fine. But what you’re making fun of is me standing up for federal law enforcement and American citizens. If you want to make fun of me for that, go ahead.”
Cain stated, “I stand with our law enforcement and people don’t realize they think that, you know, ICE is this horrible nefarious group and they’re not they’re phenomenal people.”
Despite assertions that he is “joining” ICE, Cain was sworn in as an honorary member, indicating he won’t be performing any official duties or holding law enforcement authority.
