Peacemaker fans will want to start bracing themselves for the final three episodes of Season 2.
Peacemaker Season 2 premiered this past week on HBO Max. Created by James Gunn, the DCU series sees John Cena reprise his role as Peacemaker, while Danielle Brooks and Steve Agee also return as Leota Adebayo and John Economos.
What did Steve Agee say about Peacemaker Season 2?
Per The Hollywood Reporter, media journalists have only been allowed to watch the first five episodes of Peacemaker Season 2, which has eight episodes in total.
Agee says there’s a very specific reason as to why the final three episodes haven’t been shown to critics or journalists as of yet. He explained, “The last three episodes are almost like a whole new season. They are absolutely insane.”
Agee also said of his DCU character and Peacemaker Season 2, “There’s also a part of Economos that [Jennifer Holland] calls ‘the reluctant hero.’ He doesn’t want to do any acts of heroism, but he always does because these are his friends. And that’s very much me. I’d love to go skydiving, but there’s no way in hell I’m ever going to go skydiving. So as far as acting as John Economos, it’s pretty much autopilot for me. When I get the scripts, I’m like, ‘Yep, yep. This all checks out. I relate to everything that this dude is saying.’”
The cast of Peacemaker’s second season further includes Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon, David Denman as Keith Smith, Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury, Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern.
New episodes of DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television’s Peacemaker Season 2 are being released on Thursdays on HBO Max.
