Kylie Kelce reacted to her brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s engagement to Taylor Swift.
After Travis and Swift, 35, announced their engagement on Tuesday, August 26, Kylie, 33, showed her subtle nod of approval by liking the couple’s joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift and Kelce wrote, sharing a carousel of photos from the proposal.
Kylie has been married to Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, since April 2018.
Among the first to react to the engagement were Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, who has become good friends with Swift.
Patrick, 29, responded via his Instagram Story on Tuesday, sharing an engagement picture of the couple with three red-heart emojis.
Brittany, 29, also reacted to the engagement news on Tuesday, writing via her Instagram Story, “Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two. 🥹🤍.”
The “New Heights” podcast, which Travis and Jason cohost, reacted enthusiastically in a series of posts on Tuesday.
“NEW NEWS,” the podcast’s official Instagram posted, a reference to a popular segment on the show. “Congrats to @taylorswift @killatrav.”
The podcast also shared one of the couple’s engagement photos with a Photoshopped image of a shirtless, screaming Jason in the background.
“This pretty much sums up everyone’s reaction 😅,” the “New Heights” account wrote.
Swift made her first appearance on “New Heights” earlier this month, where she recalled how Travis initially tried to woo her in July 2023.
“This kind of felt more like I was in an 80s John Hughes movie and he was just, like, standing outside of my window with a boombox just being like, ‘I want to date you. Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet, do you want to go on a date with me?’” she joked. “I was like, ‘If this guy isn’t crazy, which is a big if, but if he’s not crazy then this is basically like every song I’ve ever written since I was a teenager come to life.’”
