Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, the iconic TV serial, is all set to make a grand comeback after a long wait of 25 years with a new season soon. Backed by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, the upcoming season will mark the return of actors Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as their much-loved characters Tulsi and Mihir. Recently, the makers unveiled the first promo of the show, leaving the fans excited.
The promo features a family of four reminiscing over the original show while eating at a restaurant. The nostalgic sequence then switches to Tulsi at home, watering her tulsi plant. As the clip progresses, Smriti Irani as Tulsi announces Kyunki’s return after 25 years.
The teaser has generated significant buzz, with fans eager to watch their favourite characters back on screen. Several TV celebs also shared their reactions to the first promo of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.
Taking to Instagram, TV actor Arjit Taneja shared the promo on his stories and wrote, “Seedhi si baat hai kuch kahaniyan kabhi purani nahi hoti, 25 saal baad bhi, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, wahi ehsaas, whi dhamaka lekar aa rha hai. Aaya Samajh?”
TV actor Ssudeep Sahir’s wife Anantica Sahir, who is a part of the new season of Kyunki, penned on her stories, “So happy to announce this!! When I started TV I never thought this day would come..but I can proudly say I am a part of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Thank you Ektaa Kapoor for bringing me to this epic show. You are fab.”
Actress Urvashi Dholakia mentioned, “She’s back. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, one show, many generations. Countless memories. And now a brand new season to create more. Turn in on July 29 at 10:30 pm on Star Plus to watch the new season.”
Sumeet Sachdev stated, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi- the show that redefined Indian television is back with a brand new season. Relive the emotion, the drama, the legacy.”
Jawaan actress Ridhi Dogra shared, “Ooooo Goosebumps! This gives you that bachpan wali good feeling.”
Actor Shakti Anand noted, “The countdown begins 29th July Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.’’
Rakshanda Khan, too, shared the promo on her stories and asserted, “Ek kahaani jisne television ka itihaas badla, jahan Tulsi Virani har aangan ki shaan bani, phir se laut rahi hai par ek naye mod ke saath!”
Hiten Tewjani, who portrayed the role of Mihir in the first season, commented on the promo, “Super.”
Devoleena Bhattacharjee chimed in, “Goosebumps. So many childhood memories and my inspiration to be one like Tulsi. Uff nostalgic.”
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 will premiere on Star Plus on July 29 at 10:30 pm. The episodes will also stream on JioHotstar.
