Fashion’s latest It Girl, Olandria Carthen, is breaking her silence on recent reports that she and her Love Island USA connection, Nic Vansteenberghe, have split after a year of dating. More specifically, Ola is debunking a major dating rumor that DeuxMoi initially reported on Thursday, July 23.
After the outlet shared an anonymous tip from someone who claimed Olandria had already been hooking up with a new celeb, Travis Scott, she wasted no time in shutting it down. Per a screenshot obtained by a fan on Threads, she wrote, “I hope you have your lawyers ready bc I have mine.”
Olandria’s comment has seemingly been deleted or hidden from the public, as DeuxMoi confirmed in a pinned comment, “Update: Olandria denied(?) this rumor but blocked this account so her comment, which was pinned was not showing it was from her.”
The rumor in question? As the tipster alleged, “Now that the pr relationship is over, Olandria has BEEN hooking up with Travis Scott,” adding they were “pretty sure” since they had “been hearing rumblings through the rumor mill months ago.”
Nicolandria dated for nearly a year after meeting in the Love Island USA Villa, and a source confirmed to People that they split due to challenges maintaining their long-distance relationship.
“The distance between them and their busy schedules made it challenging to maintain their connection,” the source shared. “They still remain close friends. They share a deep love and respect for each other and will always support one another whenever possible.”
Last month, Olandria revealed why she and Nic had decided to keep most of their relationship private during an interview with Cosmopolitan, saying, “I’m never that invested in someone’s relationship, and I’m not living for the internet. I don’t always post what people want me to or always do what people want me to do.”
She added, “Why does it matter if me and Nic are together? Even when we were at Coachella, people in the comments were like, ‘Oh, I just needed proof that they saw each other this week.’ Why are you so invested in people that don’t know you?”
