Out of sight, out of mind.
Luis Guzmán subtly shaded his former co-star, Jennifer Lopez, during a recent interview with his fellow “Wednesday” cast members, Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers and Joy Sunday.
During a game on Tuesday’s episode of “Hot Ones Versus,” Guzmán, 68, had to describe his previous collaborators in one word.
When it came to Lopez, 56, the “Boogie Nights” vet merely said, “Okay.”
Guzmán and Lopez starred in the 1998 crime comedy “Out of Sight” together.
The actor’s response caught his current co-stars off guard.
30-year-old Sunday’s eyes went wide while Myers, 23, stifled a laugh. Ortega, 22, giggled before closing her eyes and slightly shaking her head.
Guzmán’s other answers were much more pleasant.
For Adam Sandler, the star replied, “Amazing,” while he said “bellissima” about his on-screen wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Rounding out the sweet compliments, he called Ortega a “prodigy.”
“I love you,” she replied.
“Out of Sight” followed successful bank robber Jack Foley (George Clooney), who breaks out of jail and falls for a Federal Marshal named Karen Sisco (Lopez).
Guzmán portrayed Chino in the movie.
Despite the “Oz” alum’s opinion, Lopez has starred in a slew of hit movies over the years, including “Selena” in 1997, which garnered her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.
Lopez also starred in “The Wedding Planner” in 2001, “Enough” in 2002 and “Monster-in-Law” in 2005.
Most recently, the singer starred in the 2023 Netflix action/thriller “The Mother” and the 2024 Netflix sci-fi “Atlas.”
Lopez’s 2019 film “Hustlers” also earned her a nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globes and SAG Awards.
On the music front, Lopez has released nine studio albums, been nominated for two Grammy Awards and has taken home three American Music Awards.
Guzmán, meanwhile, was also nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast for the 1997 comedy drama “Boogie Nights” and the 1999 film “Magnolia.”
In 2001, he won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast for “Traffic.”
These days, Guzmán stars as Gomez Addams in the Netflix horror series “Wednesday,” that follows the misadventures of Wednesday Addams (Ortega) as she attends Nevermore Academy. The show is currently airing its second season.
For her part, Lopez is gearing up for the fall premiere of “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
The musical thriller is an adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical of the same name and follows the unlikely bond of two prisoners, Valentin (Diego Luna) and Luis Molina (Tonatiuh).
While in the cell, Molina recounts a Hollywood musical plot.
Earlier this month, Lopez debuted platinum Old Hollywood waves in the project’s trailer. She also rocked a black bob with spiky bangs.
In the movie, Lopez appears as the sultry Ingrid Luna (also known as Aurora or the Spider Woman).
In January, she got candid about taking on the role.
“I was waiting my whole life to be able to do a real big MGM Hollywood musical, and I finally got to do it,” she told Variety at the time. “It was more [than I hoped]. Me and Diego [Luna] were on set and we’re dancing around and we’re singing and looking at each other and it’s like we don’t want to do anything else but musicals. Diego said that! Me too. I don’t want to do anything else.”
“Kiss of a Spider Woman” hits theaters on October 10, 2025.
