Dancing With the Stars Season 34 will soon begin to air episodes that have been teased as being “epic” in honor of its 20-year anniversary–and some of the latest rumors for celebrities that may participate indicate the show is hoping to bring in some of the big names and fun surprises for its cast.
The ABC show will officially announce and confirm its cast on Good Morning America on September 3, but fans are eager to figure out who they might have on the show now, as rehearsals begin.
And while some celebs may be controversial, similar to a pro who was confirmed to be coming back after claiming they had been fired, all are ones that fans will likely be surprised to watch as the episodes air.
Unfortunately, until the official cast reveal, the show is intent on keeping the identities of its cast under lock and key.
However, some new names have been floated in addition to others when it comes to the potential list of participants.
While the show has confirmed Wildlife Conservationist and TV Personality Robert Irwin, Social Media Influencer Alix Earle, and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, there are other stars who have convinced fans they are likely involved in the show.
One such celebrity is former High School Musical star Bart Johnson, who portrayed Coach Bolton and the father of Zac Efron’s Troy Bolton in the film franchise. His name has been floated religiously since he commented about being “excited” on one of the show’s social media posts.
Johnson would fit a target demographic when it comes to a celebrity cast on the show, filling a spot typically reserved for stars who may be older. He also has ties to Disney and another big-name celebrity, as he is married to Robin Lively, Blake Lively’s sister.
Another name many have seriously floated is, ironically, Zac Efron’s brother, Dylan Efron, following his successful turn on The Traitors.

When it comes to the rest of the show’s potential cast, there are no official reports, but several actors have been floated as possible stars signing on.
Among them are Elaine Hendrix, Andy Richter, and Danielle Fishel. Fishel, in particular, has long been on fan wish lists for the show, and could be a big get that would delight them with the anniversary season.
Fans have also chattered on social media about gymnast Jordan Chiles, who was stripped of her Olympic medal last year, as well as former NFL quarterback Cam Newton.
In addition, Hunter Fieri, the son of chef Guy Fieri, has also been mentioned as a contender.
Dancing With the Stars will officially confirm the identities of the cast on September 3.
