We’re days away from the 50th Toronto International Film Festival kicking off in Toronto — and it’s set to be a year packed with celebrities.

TIFF runs from Sept. 4 to 14 and will “celebrate the best of Canadian and global cinema.”

From world premieres featuring actors like Angelina Jolie and Seth Rogen to films with appearances from celebrities including Charli xcx and Margaret Qualley, Toronto will soon welcome all kinds of superstars to the city.

Here’s a look at who you might just have the chance to spot.

This year at TIFF, there will be a “red carpet-ready” slate of movies, according to the festival. This includes the world premiere of Alice Winocour’s “Couture,” starring the Academy Award-winning Jolie.

Canadian actor and comedian Rogen stars in Asiz Ansari’s “Good Fortune” alongside Keanu Reeves and Keke Palmer, which will also make its world premiere at TIFF.

Another film with a star-studded cast making its world premiere is “Fuze,” featuring actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James, Sam Worthington and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

And TIFF’s Centrepiece program, the festival’s “global showcase of compelling cinema from around the world,” will spotlight Ethan Hawke and Qualley, who is featured in other popular 2025 films like “Happy Gilmore 2” and “Honey Don’t!”

The Canadian premiere of “Hamnet,” stars Irish actor Paul Mescal and will also take place at the festival.

For any Sydney Sweeny fans, you can catch the “Euphoria” actor as pro-boxer Christy Martin in the biopic “Christy.” And speaking of Euphoria, Jacob Elordi will return to TIFF as the star of Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein.” Elordi appeared at the festival last year as Julius in “On Swift Horses.”

Actor Maude Apatow, known for her role in “Euphoria,” will premiere her film “Poetic License,” which features her mother, Leslie Mann, at the festival.

Johansson has also taken a seat in the director’s chair with the North American premiere of her film “Eleanor the Great” during TIFF this year. The movie marks Johansson’s directorial debut and stars the 95-year-old Oscar nominee June Squibb.

Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Rami Malek star in “Nuremberg,” the “gripping historical drama” from writer-director James Vanderbilt. And Kaya Scodelario of “The Maze Runner” and Josh Gad of “Frozen” are featured in the “devilishly comic neo-noir” film “Adulthood” from Alex Winter.

If you grew up watching the Olsen twins, sibling Elizabeth Olsen will star in David Freyne’s “Eternity” alongside Miles Teller and Callum Turner.

Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst will be featured alongside Channing Tatum in the “wildly entertaining drama” from Oscar-nominated director Derek Cianfrance. Tatum will be presented with a TIFF Tribute Performer Award during the festival.

Also being recognized is Canadian icon Catherine O’Hara, who will receive the TIFF Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award. Award-winning actor, producer, director and musician Idris Elba will be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Award in Impact Media.

Beyond the big screen, TIFF’s iconic “In Conversation With” series will feature in-depth talks with actors Dwayne Johnson and Canada’s Ryan Reynolds.

And for my true film buffs out there, “some of the most acclaimed filmmakers working today” like del Toro, Mamoru Hosoda, Zacharias Kunuk, Baz Luhrmann, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Jafar Panahi, Benny Safdie and Gus Van Sant will all have films at TIFF.
