Georgia-born LSU women’s basketball senior guard and rapper Flau’Jae Johnson returned to a familiar stage on Wednesday night: NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”
And as it does when she takes the court, the crowd went wild.
Sporting baggy metalic pants, a white crop top and plaid-cropped jacket, the rising singer controlled the stage with a performance of her new single, “Remember When.” The song’s focuses on the lows of her past, including her father’s death before she was born, in contrast to the triumphs of her present — record deals, gold medals and a promising future.
Trayron Milton, Johnson’s brother and aspiring singer, joined her for the performance.
Johnson competed as a teen on Season 13 of the talent series, where she was eliminated in the quarter-finals. In her second “AGT” trip, on “AGT: All-Stars,” she was sent home during the preliminaries.
“I gotta chase my dreams, you know what I’m sayin’,” Johnson told show host Terry Crews following her Wednesday performance.

She also thanked judge Simon Cowell for encouraging her to follow her dreams when she first competed.
The episode was also a results show involving the 15-member Eyrie Dance and Tumbling team of New Orleans.
“Honestly, spectacular” was how Cowell described the energetic, precision moves of the team’s Tuesday night performance.
Despite that, America’s vote sent the girls home.
“America’s Got Talent” returns at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
