When the Real Housewives of Orange County were in New Orleans this season, the old “Naked Wasted” story resurfaced. In case you’ve forgotten, back in Season 4 when Gretchen Rossi was a newbie, Tamra Judge had a barbeque at her house. She and her son Ryan were accused of trying to get Gretchen wasted to embarrass her.
Fast forward to Season 19 and now Katie Ginella claims Gretchen told her she went to the hospital the next morning. She told Katie she was so ill, she thought she’d been “roofied.”
But when confronted with the story, Gretchen denied going to the hospital and claimed she’d never told Katie that. Even worse, Katie backtracked on her story. “It didn’t happen. I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m just going to stand by that.”
Tamra Judge accuses Gretchen Rossi of a “cover up” on RHOC
On August 28, Tamra was a guest on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. Tamra told Jeff that Gretchen was straight up lying about whether she went to the hospital. First Gretchen said she did, then she said she didn’t. Which was it?
“I asked Gretchen point blank,” Tamra told Jeff, “’Did you go to the hospital?’ And she goes, ‘Yes … because I didn’t feel well.’”
But Tamra added that there was a scene which was filmed but not shown where the incident was discussed again. “Gretchen says that she went to the hospital,” Tamra said. Though she later “went on [Heather] McDonald’s podcast and said, ‘I misspoke.’”
Even Jeff noticed that Gretchen kept changing her story. “So she said, ‘I went to the hospital; I didn’t go to the hospital; I thought about going to the hospital; I needed to go to the hospital.’” Surely, I’m not the only viewer who also noticed Gretchen’s constantly contradicting herself?
“Because they’re trying to cover up,” Tamra said. “They’re covering up lies … It’s called lying … She’s like, ‘I misspoke. Tamara misspoke.’ That’s always her go-to, to deflect on somebody else. I’m like, girl, when someone asks you to your face, did you go to the hospital? And you go, ‘Yeah, I did … because I didn’t feel well,’ that’s not misspeaking.”
Finally, Jeff wondered why Katie didn’t just confront Gretchen. All she had to do was say, “Yes, I did repeat what you said, but this is what you said.”
“I think that we might get there,” Tamra concluded.
