French production-distribution company Oble has racked up a slew of deals for its latest scripted series ahead of this year’s Unifrance Rendez-Vous TV mart in Le Havre, including “The Plague,” “Winter Palace” and “Extra.”

“The Plague,” an updated adaptation of Albert Camus’ iconic novel “La Peste” produced by Siècle Productions and Arezzo Films, has sold to Walter Presents on the U.S.’ PBS Masterpiece Prime Video channel, as well as to French broadcaster TV5 Monde and to pubcaster RTP in Portugal.

More from Variety

The series, set in 2029, follow a disparate group of people who find themselves grappling personally and professionally with a new virus spreading throughout the French Riviera as the government enforces strict lockdowns with enhanced surveillance systems and a mysterious “Plan D” that threatens citizens’ freedoms.

At the heart of the storm is Professor Rieux, a dedicated doctor, who does his best to save victims of the plague who have been abandoned by the government while standing up with activists against the repressive measures.

The show previously sold to AMC Networks International Southern Europe.

“Winter Palace,” which follows André Morel, a young hotelier in 1899 Switzerland trying to realize an ambitious vision, likewise sold to Walter Presents on the U.S.’ PBS Masterpiece Prime Video channel, RTP in Portugal and SBS in Australia.

The Swiss-French co-production from Oble and Point Prod for Netflix and RTS, revolves around the young hotelier’s efforts to build the very first five-star hotel in the Swiss Alps to stay open throughout the winter season, his partnership with a wealthy aristocrat and the challenges facing the risky venture: a hostile climate, the demanding clientele and an uncooperative staff.

“Extra” is described as an “atypical family comedy” that “dares to challenge notions of desire, intimacy and pleasure for people with disabilities … and the rest of the population as well.” It follows Catherine Blondin, a prim and proper wife, mother and director of an inclusive choral group, who inadvertently becomes a sexual assistance advocate for disabled people.

Produced by Les Films du Cygne, “Extra” has so far sold to RTS in Switzerland and RTP in Portugal.
