The 2025 Venice Film Festival is here, and we are so ready for a dose of glamour.
The annual event kicked off on August 27 in Italy’s Floating City. Since then, throngs of Hollywood stars have flooded the red carpet for their premieres, including plenty of A-listers and fashion-world regulars.
On day one, Amal and George Clooney hopped on over from their Lake Como villa and made quite an entrance in Venice via water taxi—with Amal looking radiant in a butter-yellow dress. Since then, Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried have deliberately worn matching Versace looks, Ayo Edebiri has stunned in Chanel, and Sofia Coppola has introduced her Marc Jacobs documentary in a custom Marc Jacobs gown. Some of the looks have been experimental (Cate Blanchett wore a Maison Margila couture creation with a feather-covered skirt) while other stars have tried to give us a moment of good old-fashioned Hollywood drama (like Kaia Gerber showcasing the new Givenchy in a lace-and-sequin dress with a sheer bodice.)
This year’s film festival will include premieres of notable films like Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite, Yorgos Lanthimos’s Bugonia, Jim Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother, and Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly.
The starry event wraps on September 6, so we still have many days of red-carpet extravagance ahead of us.
