Julie Chen Moonves on ‘Big Brother’ season 27
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Let’s start with all those fireworks between Ashley and Keanu at the Veto ceremony when he put her up as a replacement nominee. What did you make of her big speech, and then her and Rachel going at it with Keanu after?
JULIE CHEN MOONVES: I thought it was very uncalled for, mean, and immature. Then, with Ashley and Rachel ganging up on him was like mean girls. They accused him of yelling at them when he wasn’t… it was THEM yelling at him. It seemed more like strategy to make him feel alone and weak and threatened rather than it being a genuine emotional reaction. But it didn’t seem to make a dent in Keanu’s confidence.

Vince Panaro, Ashley Hollis, and Mickey Lee on ‘Big Brother’ season 27
Julie, we saw yet another verrrrrrrrrrry long extended hug between Vince and Morgan, along with a lot of recent caressing of various body parts. What do you make of this entire situation, especially with Vince having a girlfriend back home?
I think we have to coin a new term now… hugmance? I know if I were Vince’s girlfriend, I wouldn’t be happy with him. But doesn’t it seem fitting that Vince would allow these long hugs? He goes with any flow in the house and he goes along to get along. I feel it’s really on Morgan who is initiating the hugs and lingering and doing the caressing. I think she is drawn to him on an emotional level and cannot imagine living in the house without him.

Mickey Lee on ‘Big Brother’ season 27
Mickey looked genuinely shocked when she was voted out 6-1. What did you make of her game this season?
She started out strong. She had friends, was in alliances, won a power and used it. But I think things took a wrong turn once she became HOH. The power made it hard for her to see things clearly. The fact that she nominated Jimmy and orchestrated his eviction was a bad move. He would have never put her up. She lost an ally, a number for her group, and didn’t have the sense to realize it at any point. She got a bit too confident with her standing in the house and couldn’t read the others or how they felt about her. She couldn’t see when she was coming across too strong and dictatorial to her housemates. But in her exit interview, she was gracious and lovely. She was a good sport and classy.

The Mastermind on ‘Big Brother’
Finally, what can you tell us about the Mastermind’s latest diabolical plans and are you worried about being abducted again?
I am more worried about the houseguests! His diabolical plans are taking BB to a new level and something will happen that we’ve never seen before. Let’s just say White Locust is more like the roach motel — guests check in… but not all check out.
