The singer dropped her debut album, “Scout LaRue Willis,” in 2022. Now Scout’s back at it with a new record and a new song filled with heartbreaking emotion.
Scout Willis Releases New Single ‘Blame Me’
In an Instagram share, Willis announced her latest song. Willis chose a stunning photo of her in a yellow dress, holding onto a pole at dusk while looking up at the sky.
“’BLAME ME’ the debut single from my new record is OUT ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS NOW. Every person who collaborated on on this song with me is a GIFT FROM THE DIVINE I am MELTING WITH GRATITUDE,” began her caption.
Willis went on to praise Madi Diaz, JT Daly, and Hank Compton, who collaborated with her on “Blame Me,” writing, “@madidiaz @jtdalyart @hankcomptonmusic you are angels.”
The comments section was flooded with love for Willis and her music. Willis’ older sister Rumer kicked off the praise, declaring, “Yes baby!! So proud of you 😍.”
“Banger doesn’t even cover it!!! Congratulations 💛,” said one fan. Another one stated, “Absolute banger 🕊️.”

Scout Willis Reveals Heartbreak Led To New Music
“Blame Me” signifies a new era for Scout as she takes her heartbreak and pours it into her music. The song is all about shining a light on her, always evolving as an artist.
Speaking with V Magazine, Scout admitted that the song, as well as others on her album, came about because of a break-up.
“Two years ago, around this time, I ended a very long relationship, and the last two years have been a major exploration of who I am as a single person out in the world at this new part of my life. And so a lot of these songs became a meditation on modern relationships and romance,” she said.
After a decade of playing music in smaller venues, Scout is beginning to make a name for herself in music with the help of some famous friends. In May, she revealed she was collaborating with Kacey Musgraves and Sabrina Carpenter on her upcoming album.
