Jinger Duggar Vuolo is opening up about her struggles with body image after welcoming her three kids.
On Wednesday, June 17, the mom of three answered a few questions on her Instagram Stories from some of her followers. One person asked if Jinger had any advice for dealing with body image struggles, both during and after pregnancy.
“Yes, I’ve struggled with body image quite a bit, and honestly pregnancy and postpartum have been some of the harder seasons for me in that area,” said Jinger, who welcomed her third baby, son Finnegan, in March 2025.

“But at the same time, I would never trade it for the world because bringing these sweet babies into the world is always so worth it in the end,” she continued. “I try to do my best to eat healthy during pregnancy when I can, but I’ve also learned to give myself grace during those seasons.”
She went on to say that she feels most like herself during postpartum when she gets back into a workout routine. “Even if it’s just going on walks with the baby in the stroller,” said Jinger. “Little things like that help me feel stronger physically and mentally.”
Alongside her son, Finnegan, Jinger shares daughters Felicity Nicole, 7, and Evangeline Jo, 4, with husband Jeremy Vuolo.

During an April 2025 episode of The Jeremy & Jinger Podcast, Jinger opened up about her experience with postpartum depression after having Evangeline Jo and explained how she realized it may have been tied to nursing. “We have a four-year age gap between Evie and this little boy because I was not ready,” she said.
“I think postpartum for me with Evie was hard. It was really hard. Once I think I was about 14 months or so, I was still nursing, and it was something I just felt… I was in a dark hole and I didn’t know what to do,” she continued.
Several of her friends advised her to stop nursing Evangeline when they realized she was in the throes of postpartum depression. “When I did, I just felt like I came out of this dark cloud that I’ve been in for so long,” she shared. Jeremy agreed, saying that when she stopped nursing, things shifted for Jinger pretty quickly.

Jinger, who was pregnant with Finnegan at the time, explained that once she made the connection between her mental health and nursing, she was able to sort through some of her complicated feelings. “Realizing that about yourself and then working past it, that’s helpful,” she shared.
Jinger added, “Even with this pregnancy, there’s a certain fear that comes back that starts to creep in where I’m like, ‘Oh, now, this is going to happen and [I’m] going back to that dark place where you’re just so down.’ I never want to be back there again.”
