KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Superstar Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. exited Friday night’s game early.
The Royals said the 25-year-old left the game following the bottom of the sixth inning due to lower back spasms.
A lower back injury caused Witt Jr. to miss two games in July.
Kansas City was leading the game 2-1 when Witt Jr. exited the game.
Witt Jr. was 0-for-3 with a fly out, ground out and strike out in his three at-bats.
